About 18 months ago Matt got us tickets to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. This of course called for a tip to London. Our trip was also filled with ghost tours, sightseeing, and other fun. Here are some snapshots from our trip!
One of our first trips was to visit MinaLima, the design company behind all the graphic design work in the Harry Potter films. Book covers, newspapers, posters, box labels, and all other graphical elements were created by them. The gallery has a lot of original art and prints on display and for purchase. The building that housed the gallery was so pretty that I wanted to move in. [Click through to see more photos]
Another stop that I was super excited about was to Sea Life London Aquarium. Matt and I saw it on Sherlock and decided that it would be a cool place to visit and it did not disappoint. When we arrived we were told that the penguins would be going to sleep soon so we walked through the aquarium to see them first.
Once we saw the penguins we walked all the way back to the beginning to see the rest. I was surprised how big the aquarium was and how many different sea life they had. I loved how they had different areas where you could get up close to really see them too.
Our second to last day was spent at The Palace Theater seeing Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. I had read Cursed Child when they released it in book form but seeing it in person was even better. The illusions they did to create the magic of the wizarding world was super cool. There was many times that I was blown away. I highly recommend you seeing it if you get the chance.
